Of Lillies, Daisies and Mimosa.

These are some of the floral arrangements that Jen and I came up with last Thursday.

As you may notice, we used alot of Mimosa (Another fancy term for YELLOW) on the blooms and wrappings as IT IS Pantone's official color for 2009. We also played with vibrant hues such as Fuschia, Deep Cornflower and Purple. For the artsy fartsy factor, we utilized strands of glass beads, handmade paper and bows of natural fiber to accentuate the bouquets.












Since Valentines Day is coming up, why don't you be a good and thoughtful significant other or "aspiring" significant other and surprise that special person or "unofficial" special person with a pretty Chiaroscuro-ed bouquet. :)

No, it's not going to be as expensive as you think. Prices of our arrangements START at 1250php. (Your choice of flowers will dictate the damage.)

We also have IMPORTED FLOWERS such as Equadorean Roses, Tulips, Hydrangeas, Cabbage Roses and Cymbidiums available.

Just to set expectations, SORRY, but WE DON'T HAVE MUMS and PAINTED ROSES. Also, WE DO NOT SPRINKLE GLITTER ON FLOWERS.

Sid Chuidian, Architectural Designer.

Sid is one of the people whom we work with under Interiors by Chiaroscuro. He is an Architectural Designer/Artist who is based in Doha and has been dabbling with digitally made artwork and designs. Aside from Computer Graphics, he is also into Photography.

Yup! So that means we can easily cater to both North and South peeps who would like to have a Light+Shade experience or be blown away by Chef Jen's culinary expertise.

To all of you who haven't read our previous blogs, Cuisine by Chiaroscuro specializes in International Aphrodisiac Cuisine, which is basically gourmet dishes prepared with aphrodisiac ingredients. Interesting? Yeah it sure is! And trust me, it is one heavenly gastronomic experience.

We also offer events planning and styling services. We make sure that ART and GOOD TASTE is delivered to every social function that we work on. One factor that we take pride in is, Concepts by Chiaroscuro was formed by artists, not by business people.

We will soon post photos of floral arrangements and table set ups for your perusal. Its been crazy hectic but Jen and I are currently working on our killer portfolio so watch out for it. :)

The Michi Calica Experience.

I first stumbled upon Michi Calica's shop during my brother and his fiance's caterer's appointment at The Oasis.

Being the perpetually curious and shiny shimmery loving person that I am, I entered Michi's shop upon seeing the delicately crafted, colorful handbags and accessories displayed by her window.

Once inside, I knew I was in a designer extraordinaire's lair. I was overwhelmed by the beautiful, exquisite clothes- from wedding apparel, evening gowns, cocktail dresses, MOD corporate attire to fun sundresses that exuded class! class! and chicness!

Her designs are high end, carefully thought of and have been made to perfection.

Overwhelmed is an understatement. I am not exaggerating but I swear to God, I love her so much.

Even her staff exceeds expectations. They are wonderful and courteously helpful.

Oh, by the way. She is making Ria Cua's gown. And I just have to say, it's beyond fantastic!
